Mother’s Day Gift Ideas

This is my first Mother’s Day after having Nolan, so by nature, it is going to be a bit more special! Besides the obvious gift of either a card, handwritten note, or child DIY project, here are a couple of things that are on my wish list for this upcoming holiday.

Jewelry and Accessories: Classic studs or huggie hoops, initial or name necklace

A classic gift for Mother’s Day is always jewelry, whether it is expensive or relatively more affordable. A little bling always helps make someone feel more special and appreciated. A good gift could be a classic pair of earrings, either a daily stud or a trendy huggie. Another option could also be a personalized name necklace, whether it is a full name or just an initial, something small that can be a daily piece.

Flowers: Native, planted flowers, rather than buying pre-cut ones from a flower shop or store.

We purchased our house back in February of 2021 and started doing small updates to the interior and just regular maintenance to the exterior property. Something that I have been wanting to do for some time now but just have not had the time or gotten around to yet is replanting our flower beds. I have been obsessed with the beauty of hydrangea and peony bushes! I think it is such a classic look and an easy upgrade to any home exterior. Such a better investment in terms of the fact that they will come back annually and be able to be enjoyed more than just once until they die.

Self-care or service: Spa day, hair appointment or beauty treatment

Treating oneself to self-care services can be a rejuvenating experience. Whether it's indulging in a spa day, a relaxing massage, enhancing lashes with a lift, or refreshing hair with a new style, these moments of pampering offer a precious escape from the daily grind. Personally, I've been eyeing a simple hair refresh for months—a touch of highlights and a trim to spruce up my look. Yet, amidst the hustle and bustle of life, it's slipped down my priority list. Thus, a thoughtful gift like a gift card or a prepaid service appointment would not only provide the opportunity for a well-deserved treat but also the gentle nudge I need to prioritize self-care.

Pieces from wishlist: A couple pieces from their saved shopping cart

Many women have a mental inventory of their desired purchases, often stored as a wishlist on their favorite online shopping platforms. By selecting a couple of coveted items from this list, you're not only granting a material desire but also demonstrating a deep understanding of your loved one's preferences. It's a gesture that speaks volumes, acknowledging their wants and providing them with something they've been yearning for but perhaps hesitated to purchase.

Wishing all the mothers out there a beautiful and joyful Mother's Day celebration filled with love, appreciation, and meaningful gestures that reflect the unique bond between mothers and their loved ones.
